Google Needs a Sandy Bridge

Android fans eager to get a look at the latest Nexus smartphones and tablets will have to wait a little longer. Google e-mailed reporters today saying that it was canceling the event because of concerns surrounding Hurricane Sandy.

As the storm gathered strength, Google faced mounting questions over whether it would continue with the event as planned. The waterfront pier where the event had been scheduled is now in an evacuation zone. Yesterday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency.

    Sandy is going to bitch slap us too :( We are a bit further inland so only in the 58+mph wind category.

    If anyone hears of a crazy long haired guy running around in Red Lion, PA looking for Toto, just ignore it, they are probably lying =) lol

    Cindy does, but she can’t decide on whether it’s a drought, flood, tornado, or earthquake zone she wants to move to.

    No problem. May I suggest eastern Washington, eastern Oregon or northern California? We do have an occasional earthquake but the last one that was felt here in Wenatchee was about 20 years ago and was just a mild jiggle. No tornadoes or floods. Incidentally, the West to us that live here, means starting west of the Rockies.
