We’ve been hearing so much about the end of the world lately, especially with all this talk about the Mayan calendar, which predicts the world will end on December 21. But the end of the world’s been pronounced many times before, and it’s sure to be again. Sure, there was all this talk of the end of the world last year on May 21, and guess what? We’re still here, and should continue to be for a long time to come.
Recently, the news hit the Associated Press that experts have gotten together in Mexico to discuss the infamous Mayan calendar prophecy that many, including George Lucas apparently, feel will come true. Interestingly, the group of archaeologists and anthropologists have concluded that the Mayan calendar may have been misinterpreted, perhaps in an effort to try and get people not to panic.
