Chinese Fireworks

Due to the current battery cell shortage, worldwide first-tier notebook vendors are thinking about adopting battery cells from China, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report. Hewlett-Packard (HP) has already decided to adopt cells from China, while Asustek Computer is considering starting certification. However, even if the cells are certified successfully, adoption will not start until the second half this year, noted the paper.
